Ed & Ho

This is Edith & Rodney, I met Edith (Ed for short) when I first started working on the Helpdesk at MTSC. Ed was also the first to jump on my butt for making a bad call while I was a rooky. I was thinking man what’s up with this chick with the attitude. Turns out she had just been on the desk for a very long time and had become very, let’s just say assertive at her job. Over time Ed and I became great friends and I learned a lot from her. Ed married Rodney, (Ho for short) and we also became very good friends. After Ed and Ho were married is when the good times really started to roll. I have a lot of fond memories of our camping trips and get togethers.

We all lost Ed June 4th 2005. Ed suffered from depression and without going into a lot detail took her own life. Ed was going through a very tough time. I guess a lot more than what I was aware of, or was I? Was there something that I could have done or said to make a difference? These are the questions I will always struggle with. After the initial shock of learning of what she had done I was very angry at her. Anger changed to grief and has now has become confusion, I miss my friend very much. Love you Ed.....
